So last week we were in NYC for a couple of days, it rained nearly all day, so it was off to the galleries...
Good Morning Manhattan... Looks good now, but it soon changed...
Damn rain!
The New Museum on the Bowery is an incredible sight, the building is just beautiful, stacked up boxes coated in aluminum mesh. Obviously no pictures on the inside, but to be honest the exhibition over five floors was a bit disappointing.
The MoMA has always been a favorite, apart from the permanent collection there's always new work to see, but again, not many photos. Apologies for the dull blog? Here's some Warhol...
Over to Lever House to see Mr Hirst's new installation, 'School: The Archaeology of Lost Desires, Comprehending Infinity, and the Search for Knowledge' is just genius! The Virgin Mother stood outside, a magnificent 35ft bronze sculpture.
Mmm, all that meat, time for lunch...
We spotted this piece of graffiti in the "LES" (that's what some people are referring to the Lower East Side as these days?) Anyway, it's the graffiti on the graffiti that amused us...
And goodnight New York, this is the view from our hotel by the way...
